Counseling is a beautifully human process. The space it creates, fosters a reflection of our journeys outside of the therapy office. For children, it can be a calm place to make sense of their world and self. For all of us, it can be the place that simultaneously holds the beauty of who we are to the world and to ourselves, while also holding our sorrows and shames. It can be a place of seeing ourselves wholly as we are and as we can be. Walking with people as they step into the space of counseling and to watch as they work to grapple with the complexities of life and fight for hope, is truly an honor and a gift. I really do love what I do.
I graduated from John Brown University with my Masters in Clinical Mental Health Counseling in August 2020. I now hold my temporary license as a Licensed Professional Counselor with the Mental Health Service Provider distinction. I have had the opportunity to work in an inpatient hospital, partial hospitalization, intensive outpatient, and private practice. I have worked with children, adolescents, adults, and families. I have worked specifically with children and adolescents in depression recovery and addiction recovery. I have worked with adolescents and adults who have struggled with depression, anxiety, eating disorders, life transitions, and relationship difficulties.
Outside of the counseling space, my husband and I love taking our pup, Buster, on hikes and walks around town and into the hills surrounding our area. We moved to Nashville this past September and found that we like it very much. We have also found that our friends and family find multiple ways to come visit us now, which we love.
